Play Therapy

What is Play Therapy?

Play Therapy is to children what counselling is to adults. Children use toys and creative arts instead of words to express themselves. Play Therapy is very helpful for children when they are experiencing difficulties in understanding their feelings or are finding it difficult to put their experiences into words.

The Play Therapy setting provides children with a safe, confidential and caring environment where healing can occur. It allows children to change the way they think about, feel towards, and approach problems. Play Therapy helps children to develop problem-solving skills, express their feelings, change behaviour and learn how to communicate and relate to others.

"Play is the most natural form of self healing that

childhood affords".

All families need supports sometimes. Seeking help and support for you and your child helps parents and guardians to look after themselves and in turn raise their children well.

We provide guidance, information and advice to parents and guardians which helps in the building of a positive home environment and the development of positive healthy relationships with children.
